About Us

ACAP Productions, Inc. was incorporated in the State of California in September of 2005, with the goal of increasing public awareness of the necessity to protect the Flag of the United States from ever being desecrated on American soil. Starting with four members in 2005, ACAP’s membership now stands at ten individuals with different ideologies, backgrounds, beliefs and heritages, all united in our ambition to produce quality patriotic entertainment glorifying the country that provides us with all of the freedoms and liberties we so richly enjoy. From its inception, ACAP has become a producer of patriotic dinner shows, showcasing American songs and pictures of American life. For the past three years, ACAP has presented, on Veteran’s Eve, at the world famous Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace, a spectacular live production saluting our armed forces, our military, our country, and of course, Old Glory. We were honored to have received the coveted beautiful Bakersfield Award for this event in 2006 and in 2007, we were selected by the NBC affiliate in Bakersfield to have our entire program air on LIVE TV.

In concert with KGET Channel 17 and Kuzz Radio, ACAP Productions will again produce this incredible night of patriotic salute and entertainment on Saturday night, November 8th, 2008. Both Congressman Kevin McCarthy and Assembly Member Jean Fuller have once again committed to attend and lead the audience in a spectacular tribute to our troops and our Flag. The evening will be emceed by Robin Mangarin and Jim Scott and the two hour program will air LIVE on KGET Channel 17, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and there will be a special military salute by radio personality Steve Gradowitz. The evening will include a full course dinner for all of our guests and attendees and will have live entertainment combined with stirring videos and a pictorial salute to America. As always, a portion of the ticket price to attend the dinner show will be donated to a Veteran’s organization or cause which channels funds back into the community.

This year, the event takes on a new and exciting proportion. For the first time ever, vocalists from all over Kern County will be given the opportunity to showcase their singing talents for the chance to wind up as a performer in this year’s production. A County wide talent search is now being conducted for members of our community who feel they can best perform patriotic songs for our seated and home viewing audiences. As a result of this concept, once again we are planning on making history in Kern County with our annual production (last year was the first time that anyone was allowed to film a show live inside the Crystal Palace and the first occasion that Channel17 broadcasted live a local entertainment production) and we intend to produce the finest Veterans Day community-based tribute anyone has ever experienced.

The name of our annual production is KEEP OLD GLORY FLYING, taken from the title of a song written and recorded by one of our founding members, Jonathan Wild. Jonathan, a decorated Vietnam War Veteran, who has toured with USO shows and welcomed home troops from the Gulf War, penned the lyrics for this song in an attempt to show all Americans why the Flag of our country means so much to all of us. ACAP produced a DVD of this song and it won the coveted Country Music Video of the Year at the Los Angles Music Awards in 2006.

We are now in the production stages of compiling a new and unique DVD to enable all civic organizations, churches, Veterans groups, schools and all other entities wishing to engage in American holiday celebrations the opportunity to experience the entire evening we produced without the high costs of hiring live entertainment. This has led to the preliminary creation of KEEP OLD GLORY FLYING, An American Holiday Tribute; a fifty-five minute complete DVD entertainment program saluting our Country, our Flag and our Armed Forces for any or all three of our most celebrated national holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day. All an organization needs is a DVD player and a screen big enough to accommodate its audience, and we provide an entire ready-to-use program combining patriotic songs with American cultural and scenic images specifically formatted to entertain on our American holidays. Specific images, videos and songs will be placed in each holiday segment, some being interchanged and others entirely new and different to match the reverence of the celebrated holiday.

Also included is a step by step guided Resource CD to assist all groups in planning their specific events or assemblies. With the DVD providing spectacular audio and visual entertainment and our Resource CD explaining the manner in which the host organization can benefit financially from the event, this project can become an enormous fundraiser (even for schools and PTAs holding patriotic activities) for all those groups showcasing this DVD during the holiday celebration.

We remain committed to our goals and will do whatever we can to continue to honor our troops and Veterans who have enabled us to enjoy the freedoms we so deeply cherish and our national symbol of liberty.
